cooking for two: bicol express

this is one of my husband’s favorite dishes and today was my first time to try cooking it for his birthday. i am glad that it turned out good; he asked for a second serving and even set aside a portion for next day’s baon.
bicol express

1/4 kilo pork, cut into thin strips (good for four servings)
6 green chilies, sliced
6 cloves garlic, crushed
1 medium onion, sliced
3 tbsp ginger, grated
2 cups evaporated milk (or coconut milk)
salt and pepper
cooking oil

1. saute garlic, onion and ginger in a pan of heated oil.
2. add pork.
3. when the pork changes color, mix in the sliced chilies.
4. pour in evaporated milk and simmer until pork is tender.
5. add salt and pepper to taste.
