no, i won’t be talking about a tub of ice cream, haha! this post is about our city staycation last weekend. as an early treat for our 140th bf-gf monthsary/third wedding monthsary/12th heart’s day (3-in-1), and still part of my month-long birthday celebration (plus one!), kim and i decided to book a suite room at best western premier f1 hotel in bonifacio global city, taguig.
we mostly spent the weekend in the hotel doing things that we would normally do at home. we watched cartoons on tv, worked out at the gym, went swimming in the 25m lap pool, lounged around, eat junk food, and cuddle and more, haha.
we just went out at night for dinner. the hotel is just across bonifacio high street so we had plenty of choices for dinner. we decided to eat at chelsea market cafe in serendra. we tried its five cheeses and pesto pasta with grilled chicken, which were good. we dropped by metro supermarket to buy junk foods after. (my fitness instructor will not be happy if he ever finds this post, haha.)
we read mixed reviews on the food selection at f1 hotel’s restaurant but we found the buffet breakfast the following morning okay. we were not able to try everything because we got full right away but we enjoyed what we had on our plates.
after checking out, we watched upside down at the nearby market! market! cinema. the concept of this double-gravity universe was really interesting but we found the film a bit dragging. i haven’t read the novel so i don’t know if it was really meant to be open-ended. the movie felt so long and then it didn’t really end, huh? anyway, we had bonchon dinner after.
overall, it was a relaxing staycation. we felt like we went to hong kong or singapore. our suite had that home away from home vibe and we miss it already, haha.
