march 6. my nephew was very sad when i missed his first violin recital so when i learned he’d be in a recital for the second time i took an extra day off from work to watch him. i’ve seen how he has improved as i used to accompany him on his first few lessons. i even bought him his violin.

his recital piece was “lightly row” and it lasted for less than a minute but you can hear that he hit the notes right.
aside from playing solo, the violin recitalists also performed as a group. they played “french folk song.”
the group also performed together the first pieces they learned, in ascending order based on difficulty, as it is said to be a staple ending in suzuki recitals.
